Dead Sea Mud & Seaweed Soap Now On Etsy

A luxurious, healing way to clean, pamper and exfoliate.  Our Dead Sea Mud and Seaweed Soap incorporates the most nourishing, therapeutic and celebrated ingredients from the sea for a skin-loving, spa-like experience.

The fine texture of Dead Sea Mud helps to slough off dead skin cells while the seaweed massages and delivers minerals and other nutrients to the skin.  Dead Sea salts were added for extra nourishment.  Known to revive mature skin and beneficial for various skin conditions, ingredients from the Dead Sea are hugely popular.

Non-scented, the soap retains a faint sea scent and an organic, earthly appearance.

Give it a shot.  Check out the soap on Etsy.

Evening Primrose, Hemp & Rosehip Soap Available

Our non-scented Evening Primrose, Hemp and Rosehip Soap is now available on Etsy, just in time for Mother's Day!

The soap is made with unrefined oils that are rich in essential fatty acids (omega oils) and vitamins.  These essential fatty acids are extremely nourishing for mature and dry, sensitive skin.

The color comes from rose tea and rose clay; the soap's a beautiful, natural pinkish brown hue.  While unscented, the soap still gives off a faint rosy scent.

A decadent, natural way to clean!

Goat Milk & Bentonite Soap Now Available

Our Goat Milk and Bentonite Soap is now available on Etsy.

The soap combines the moisturizing properties of goat milk with the detoxifying properties of Bentonite clay for a nourishing cleanse.

Rich in vitamins and beta-caseins, goat milk moisturizes and replenishes damaged skin while the triglycerides and alpha-hydroxy acids in the milk eliminate dead skin cells.

Bentonite is often used as a face-mask to prevent blemishes; the clay swells up and draws toxins from the skin. The clay lends an extra slip to the soap bar that can help it double over as a shaving bar. Just simply work up a lather, apply it and shave.

Check out the soap on Etsy now.

Manuka Honey Soap Bar Samples

Admittedly, we haven't listed a new product on Etsy in months.  Part of the reason is that we've been busy focusing on developing and testing other soap bars.  But we're happy to announce that we're making faster progress.

Hopefully, by the end of this week, most of the soap bars we've been working on will be listed and available for purchase on Etsy.

For now, we can finally offer the Manuka Honey soap bar samples many of you have been requesting.  The bar ranges from 1.6 to 2 oz and is ideal for travel.  You can now try the soap without having to splurge on the entire full-size (6 to 6.7 oz) bar.

You can purchase the samples on Etsy.

Introducing Green Soap Luxury - Our Story

Green Soap Luxury launched in 2012, after nearly a year in the works.  One of its two co-owners, Stephen, first began making soaps upon a sudden urge to do so after graduating from college.  Soaping was a spontaneous idea he came upon while researching the undiagnosed rashes he suffered on and off from.

Having never produced, or even used, natural, handmade soaps before, Stephen relied heavily on his intuition and academic background in research to gain perspective in the field.

Armed with a mountain of literature and hearsay on the subject, he approached natural soap-making with an open mind and a willingness to learn and experiment.  The subject of soaping and skincare allowed Stephen to fully explore his longtime affinity with essential oils and holistic healing.  Months of research, trial and errors, and dedication produced results: soaps made with traditionally skin-valued, botanical ingredients--ingredients respected and revered for centuries for their healing properties.  The soaps not only smelled great, but helped improve his skin condition (and even his occasional stress-induced acne).

All-natural, handmade soaping has helped Stephen opened his eyes about a simple yet practical truth about bathing--the mere fact that soaps don't have to be drying for the skin, and that they certainly shouldn't exacerbate skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema.  All-natural soaps has made a believer out of Stephen.  And that core belief--that all-natural (and, yes, REALLY all-natural) is the way to go--has driven his ambition to share the body care products Green Soap Luxury carries.

Stephen partnered with Jenny (his sister and a Wharton business graduate) to launch Green Soap Luxury; Jenny manages sales and CSR.
